Doggy Snaps

Seeing as this blog is supposed to feature Rosie and Kipper I think it's time I posted some recent pictures for them..

Rosie waiting for her pet mouse to leave the fence - she'll sit there for hours just staring at the fence. Dumb as a ditch.

Isn't she getting big?!!

Some of you may remember the picture I posted last October of Cathy & Angus' new arrival - Alex Anne (if not just click here)

Hasn't she got big and cute?

Thanks Jenny & Tim for the picture. Seems Gus is too busy to send any to me... ()

Confirmation

Diramuid celebrated his Confirmation on Friday (pictured here with Darragh and Callum). It was a lovely service and Diarmuid is still counting all the loot from his cards :-O
(Many thanks to Sean for this picture - we forgot to bring the camera to the church - doh!)

We had a BBQ afterwards and thankfully the weather held for us.

hmmmm...... what would a BBQ be without pork based products?

Excellent Product Placement!

More pics on the way...

Paul & Charlotte

We had the pleasure of being invited to Paul (Triona's cousin) & Charlotte's wedding recently in lovely Port Noo, County Donegal.

Paul & Charlotte pictured with the fairer members of our group :)

We had a lovely day. Plenty of good food, a small wee drink and loads of dancing (isn't that right Mickey?).

Camber of Commerce Ball

The Sligo Chamber of Commerce Ball on was recently in the Clarion Hotel. John & Brenda, Shelly and Fidelma, Paul & Suzanne (from Infacta) and Triona & myself had a table to ourselves. A good night was had by all - helped in no small part by the plentiful supply of free gin and tonics as we arrived (we may have some converts among us!).

I'm afraid these were all the pictures that could be saved from the DESTROYED camera. Paul and Suzanne were a wee bit late arriving so we didn't manage to get a picture of them (something about a hair appointment half an hour before the ball??) :)

Trek Scotland

While I wasn't able to do the Trek this year (hamstring injury for those not in the know) Tim did. He had a fantastic time and said it was much more challenging than he expected (probably just as well then that I didn't go ).

Here are a few more pics from the walk:

Sligo Grammar School

Sligo Grammar School offered Diarmuid a place yesterday (Secondary School). He's thrilled and of course we are going to accept it. A quick induction took place last evening and the big show starts on the 28th of August. The lucky sod!

Congratulations Barry & Mary

Welcome to the world, Laoise McKenna! Born on the 31st of April at 22.45. This is their first and they are all doing great! I think she looks like a Boylan.

Congrats to Dave and Majella on the birth of their second boy - Conor. I'm afraid I don't have a picture of him for the blog (hint hint Dave!)

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Fuji Finepix E900's aren't waterproof!! Triona, in a mad fit of pure genius (or is that madness?) tested this recently in the Clarion hotel while tending to a sore 'pinky'. The idea I believe was to try "flash submersion". Flotation was mentioned but that's plain dumb so I'll go with the high speed ducking idea.

Well folks the results are in. Digital Cameras are not compatible with water (even if it was only in the water for 'a second'). All manner of drying, shaking and blowing failed to bring the poor little blighter back to life.

Bugger. Need a new compact. Any recommendations?
