Laura's New Movie

Laura Pyper, Christopher's girlfriend - well her lastest movie has just been released - it's called Headrush, and it going down pretty well (it's won a shit load of awards). We haven't had a chance to go see it yet but we'll sort that out this weekend and I'll post my own mini-review.

It's in Cinema's now so get up off your arses and go see it!

Alienware Part II

Well the reason my system was delayed for almost a month was because they were 'stock taking'. For a month? What a load of crap. Anyhow my system has magically jumped the queue and was shipped today.

"I've got a bad feeling about this...."

RANT: Alienware Sucks!

At the beginning of June I ordered a brand new Alienware gaming system for Diarmuid. It looks really cool and its spec would suggest it is comprised of quality components. It's a little more expensive than say a Dell XPS but I'm a big fan of supporting the underdog especially when they try to do something a little different.

Well - more the fool me. I'm still waiting for the system and a call to their helpdesk confirmed that the system hadn't been built yet (as I knew from all their stupid status emails) and they had no idea why. NO IDEA WHY! The system was ordered and paid for almost a month ago!

I'm afraid it looks bad for Alienware - if this is how they build relationships with customers I give them 6 months at most (operating from Ireland anyhow - they are based in Athlone). I don't care how good the system is - if they don't tell me where my order is by this evening I'm going to can the order and get the Dell. Perhaps I should have paid more attention to 24 - did you notice that the bad guys were using Alienware laptops and all the good guys were using Dells? And the bad guys never win so hmmm.... Shit.

Dunbrody - New Ross

We were down in Bunclody with our friends John and Brenda this weekend. We decided to head down to New Ross to take a tour of the Dunbrody (a recontruction of a ship used during the famine) which is supposed to be open to visitors (according to their website) only to find that it is closed for maintenance for the tall ships festival down in Waterford next week - I suppose she has to look her best if she's going to meet that lot :) There will be again in it that's for sure.

Eoin & Diarmuid

Eoin & Diarmuid excited and delighted to be in New Ross. Diarmuid has developed an interesting new look recently - ape. What do you think? (BTW: Eoin is John & Brenda's son).

Jade, Brenda and Triona in New Ross at the weekend. Just about to go shopping (under much protest from the blokes I should add).

New Photo Albums

I've put some new photo albums online on Photobox. You can order prints from these if you like at cost. I've found them to be good value and the results to be excellent.

I've also added a link to Triona's sister Doirbhle's site at - check it out for all your hand made cards and the likes. She did the invites for Jenny's recent wedding and hen party and they were fantastic (I think you'll agree).

Triona's 30th Birthday Party

Triona's big 30 is about to happen and we'll be having a party to celebrate/commiserate it :) on Moonriver on the 22nd of July. Please contact me for details if you are interested in going! All are welcome for what should be a fantastic night!

Cheeky Chaffinch!

One of the many visitors to our garden at the moment. Common as muck I know but they are still nicer to have around than collared doves (and cats).

Look at the legs on that! The ever happy John enjoying a nice creamy pint

I think this is my shot of the wedding ...

Laura - doing what she does best (isn't that right Jenny?)

See what I mean?

That's better. I think Tim's jaws were aching at this stage. There was so much smiling and laughing all day. Great Day.

Dead man walking.... :)

Taken at Lough Key with Castle Island in the background. We were so lucky with the weather - it literally stopped raining during the ceremony and held off until dark.

The beautiful bridal party - Doirbhle, Jennifer, Triona and Del

Tim and Jenny in a tree, K I S.... OK OK you get the idea

The deed is done! Tim & Jenny just after leaving Boyle Church on their way to the Forest Park for a few pictures...
